Social and Cultural Variables and Their Relationship to Self-Concept among Female University Students (Field Study)
Abstract
يوضح هذا البحث العلاقة بين المتغيرات الاجتماعية والثقافية ومفهوم الذات لدى طالبات جامعة بغداد. اعتمد البحث على المقابلة لمجموعة من الطالبات.
اتضح على الصعيد الثقافي أن التقاليد والمعتقدات المجتمعية لها دور كبير في تشكيل مفاهيم الذات لدى الطالبات، خاصة فيما يتعلق بالأدوار المتوقعة للمرأة في المجتمع. في بعض الحالات، كانت العوامل الثقافية تحد من تقدير الذات لدى الطالبات اللواتي تأثرن بالتوقعات المجتمعية عن دور المرأة.
كما أظهرت الدراسة أن الطالبات اللاتي حصلن على دعم اجتماعي وثقافي من أسرهن أو من محيطهن الاجتماعي كانت لديهن مفاهيم ذات أكثر إيجابية، بينما كانت الطالبات اللواتي يواجهن تحديات ثقافية أو اجتماعية تشعرن أحيانًا بضعف في تقدير الذات.
